Manufacturer guide

Brand matters. Specifications matter more.

We review transformers from established manufacturers, but a logo alone does not determine whether a unit is a fit. Send the complete nameplate and condition details.

Manufacturers commonly submitted

Inquiries often include equipment produced under current or legacy names. Manufacturer history can be complicated by acquisitions and product-line changes, so the nameplate model, serial number and manufacture date are important.

  • Siemens and Siemens Energy
  • Eaton and Cooper Power Systems
  • Schneider Electric and Square D

Legacy and private-label equipment

A discontinued name does not automatically make equipment unusable, and a recognized name does not guarantee a market. Ratings, standards, condition, service history, replacement demand and logistics remain essential.

If the brand is unfamiliar, send clear photos of every label and the complete unit. Do not alter or remove identification plates.

Never open energized equipment or move, drain or dismantle a transformer solely for an inquiry. Use qualified personnel and applicable site procedures.

Straight answers

Questions sellers ask.

These answers are intentionally specific and conditional. Final terms depend on the equipment and written agreement.

Do you only buy the brands listed here?

No. The list reflects commonly submitted manufacturers, not a complete acceptance list. Other brands are reviewed from their specifications and condition.

Is an older brand name a problem?

Not necessarily. Legacy names are common in electrical equipment. Model, age, ratings, condition and documentation help determine marketability.

Have equipment to sell?

One clear nameplate photo can move the conversation forward.
